Educational & Support Opportunity for Person’s with Memory Loss Diseases and their Care Partners 

Right here in Louisville, KY there is a program for Person’s with Memory Loss Diseases and their Care Partners 

 Early Stage Series: to enhance the lives of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

 The Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association offers a free 8 week series for person’s diagnosed with Early Stage memory loss and their care partners. This eight week series is a short-term guided support group environment comprised of diagnosed persons in the early stages of the disease and their care partners.  It is designed to provide support, encouragement and education to participants.  The support group will provide a safe place with opportunities to discuss issues and changes related to memory loss. 

The Goals of the program are to:

· Help participants develop coping methods

· Encourage caregivers to maintain their personal, physical and emotional health

· Opportunities to engage in socially and culturally enriching activities with others who are experiencing memory loss
