Housekeeping - only upon request. It had to be scheduled and they had 48 hrs to arrange the cleaning. I felt this was done to cut cost. Their claims were that this was done to protect staff and residents from Covid-19 so that residents would not be in their rooms for cleaning. This could have easily been done on a daily basis rather than just cutting it out. If it was to help because of limited occupancy the manager might need a bit of training on staff management. You can still staff to clean the number of room occupied vs just those who schedule cleanings. This was not a plus in my books on how it was handled. When sand found it’s way into my bed, which can happen at a beach resort, I was told I could change my own sheets or wait the 48hrs to have them changed for me. I understand being cautious due to Covid-19, but I feel like this was unnecessary.

Masks - All employees wore masks. The majority of guests did as well, however, they were not enforced for guests. So there were quite a few people who refused to wear masks, even while inside. For my clients I would prefer for the lobby, and more so the elevators, have a stricter mask policy. There was a 65+ guest who refused to allow un-masked guests waiting in line to join them on the elevator. I was proud of that women demanding her safety be taken serious. I feel that for those who may be less inclined to “rock the boat” could have been in danger by other guests lackadaisical effort to wear masks

Food- Due to COVID, all the restaurants were serving a similar limited menu. Unfortunately, again due to Covid, there very few options after breakfast to grab food without leaving the resort. The renowned restaurant on the resort was completely closed the whole time we stayed due to COVID. I also would’ve liked to see more low carb options available for breakfast.

Adults Only Section of the Resort - This resort typically has a giant family pool area and a separate adults only section with a smaller pool and hot tub.. Due to Covid, the adults only section was open to all ages. So for those seeking a quiet vacation free of children, this may not be the resort for you during Covid.

Beach - The beach was not overly crowded so it was perfect for those looking to social distance due to Covid (and for those who like to social distance even without Covid :) ). The beach was a little far for my liking (about a 5-10 minute walk, 10-15 minutes if you walk slow like me), however, the resort did offer complimentary shuttles to the beach that run all day from morning until sunset.

There are golf cart rides to the beach daily or you can enjoy a walk to see the mangrove estuary or nature preserve.

It's also just a short bike ride along the palm lined streets brings you to a copious number of galleries, unique boutiques, shops, taste-filled restaurants and galleries. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the Naples Grande Beach Resort, however, I feel like the resort would be much better to stay at when we are not in the middle of Covid, as much of the amenities were closed or restricted.
